After my little run in with Food Network casting earlier this year (see what started it all here http://tinyurl.com/3pe4da), I swore I'd never try out for another one of their shows.  That lasted 6 months.

 

After some poking and prodding, I will be jumping back into the fray and will be submitting a brand spankin' new audition tape later this month for Next Food Network Star.  Will I make the cut?  Probably not, but I got nothing better to do this weekend!  Here's the details for anyone else interested in trying out:

 

 

The Next Food Network Star is back for a new season and a new search! Do you think you have what it takes to be a TV star and host your own show? Here's your chance! This is what we are looking for: 

* Cooking know-how: You can be self-taught or professionally trained or somewhere in between, but you should know the basics.

* Personality that pops: Let yourself shine and show us who you really are. Don't be shy. We are all about personality; show us yours!

* Teaching skills: Bring the world of food and cooking to life in your very own passionate and unique way.

There are a few ways to apply. You can upload a 2-3 min= ute video OR send in a DVD/mini DV tape (PLEASE DO NOT SEND IN HI8, VHS, OR CD ROM FORMAT) that explains why we should consider you for Season 5 of The Next Food Network Star. Then, download the application below and send it in no later than October 31, 2008.
