At Least We Looked Good
Last weekend marked our return to Monmouth County New Jersey, home of the second annual Blues & BBQ festival.
And while we were fortunate to miss two very large storms, out food wasn't as lucky with the judges, with our lowest finish in pulled pork ever (29th out of 33 teams) despite turning out a beautiful product. On the bright side, our brisket returned to its natural position in the top 10 and we are anxiously awaiting the next outing to try to bring it all together once again!
The weekend also saw the debut of our new team gear, courtesy of the fine folks at Queensboro Shirt Company. And while I have yet to try out their silk screening, the embroidered items were all a huge hit with several requests to buy our new Nike hats right off our heads!

So while Lo N Slo was the best team out there cooking, at least we were the best looking team!

Nice threads, Clint! Too bad about the butt. Would you have done anything different with it or were you happy with it and it just scored low?

Nah, Chris, just an off table or something. Pork was pretty darn good, presented nicely, etc. Better luck next time, I hope!
