SmokeInDaEye asks:
You spent a good portion ofyour competition season in front of a camera.  Is there any one momentyou hope gets left on the editing room floor?

Tuffy Stone replies:
Not to my knowledge.Perhaps some of my smack talk.

SIDE:  And the moment you are mostlooking forward to reliving on TV?

TS:  It will be interesting to seethe awards ceremony in Decatur.

SIDE:  What's the most difficult partof competing while on camera?

TS:  For me it was two part. The first part, was to decide if I would try and keep my processes a secret or let themout. I made the decision to show my processes. At times this was very foreign. The second part of the challenge of competing while on camera was this.First, I am the type of person that puts everything I have into what Iam doing and this is particularly true with BBQ competitions. I am highenergy, very detailed and passionate when I compete. I am like this in theshow, but in addition to all of this, I am trying share the processes withthe camera. It was just another level of challenge, which I actually reallyenjoyed.

SIDE:  A lot of folks would pay somegood money to come and learn how to cook competition barbecue along sideyou and the other competitors.  Did you find yourself changing upyour recipes or techniques for the cameras?

TS:  No. If it makes it tothe show and is not left on the floor, I show many, many things that Ihave never shown before. Whether these techniques will be picked up onor not will depend on the viewer, but I let is all hang out for the most part.It actually causes a stressful moment, because of my showing one of myboxes.

SIDE:  I assume that was your wife's sprint to the turn-ins during episode one.  I've literally knocked over the turn-in table because I was running so fast with 2 seconds left on the clock!  Which of the other six teamsdid you fear the most every weekend?

TS:  At any contest, everyone canwin. That being said, there some usual suspects that typically do well.Anyone knows you need to bring your A game when you see someone like Myronor Johnny, but they are all very talented cooks that demand respect!

SIDE:  Are there any teams that youwish had been part of the series?

TS:  I think that the people who competein BBQ are some of the best people, I have had the good fortune to meet.My list is very long of people that I think would be good addition to theshow. I hope the show is popular and more of this family will be giventhe opportunity to be on the show.

SIDE:  Will you come back if theyextend an invite for season two?

TS:  Absolutely! This experience hasbeen fun, challenging, and educational. The people from TLC and OriginalMedia that I have worked with, have impressed me and I feel lucky to haveworked with them.

Thanks again for your time, Tuffy, and best of luck with the rest of the series!

    Enjoyed the interview.

So when you knocked over the table, did you ruin any other turn in boxes? If that did happen, would that be an instant DQ?

Chris, I would assume it would be a dq and a bunch of people would be pissed but fortunately the table was empty except for the clock that read 3-2-1.  Placed first with that pork box too!
