Weber One Touch Sees Red in 2010
Today, the team from Weber is in New York to unveil its 2010 lineup of gas and charcoal grills. And while for some reason we were left off of the invite list (perhaps providing us with a good reason to follow the flock and switch from Weber Smokey Mountains to a Jambo pit next competition BBQ season), we were able to preview one of the more exciting offerings over the weekend.
As huge fans of the Weber One Touch Platinum grills, we were delighted to see that the 2010 models have been reworked to feature a sleeker design and two side tables. Equally exciting, though, is the offering of the 22.5 inch grills in both black and red, the latter of which would be a welcomed addition to the SmokeInDaEye collection. I just ordered one of these from Lowes. I was hoping for blue, but according to the Lowes' Weber brochure they are only offered in black. I've seen red ones on Amazon.com, but I guess they are only sold to Lowes in black. I didn't believe it, so I made the guy at Lowes double check. He actually gave me the Weber order guide and showed me on their computer. Bummer. But, hey bbq black is great too! And...he gave me a 10% discount that's was cheaper tha Amazon. What a deal.
