TGI Fryday: Deep Fried Turkey

While Thanksgiving has come and gone, there's really no excuse not to enjoy the wonders of deep fried turkey year round.  In celebration of TGI Fryday, we dug into our unedited video archives and uncovered a quick little clip of the recently introduced Butterball electric indoor turkey fryer in action.

The results?  Simply awesome!  And the great thing is that it doubles as a mega capacity fryer, perfect for future TGI Fryday entries.

I've had my eye on those. The thing I don't like about frying inside is the lingering smell afterward. Was this unit any worse or better in that regard than regular frying?

It actually has a pretty good filter on it.  There was a lot of steam for no heavy deep fried smell, especially when compared to a little fry daddy type deep fryer.
