As you all know, things have been unusually quiet around here recently.  With the constant snow and rain storms up here in the Northeast, the opportunities to take a break from cleanup and actually spend some time cooking have been limited.

But that's about to change as competition season is about to kick back into gear this weekend with the Fifth Annual Grillin on the Bay contest.  Always a good time (and not just because we are trying to regain our crown from our 2008 Grand Champion victory!), this year promising to be even more exciting as the field has now grown to over 30 teams!



So if you are near Brooklyn this Saturday, stop by and say hi to the Smoke In Da Eye team.  In the meantime, season two of TLC's BBQ Pitmasters has been given the go ahead and casting has begun.  If you or someone you know would like to be considered, send your audition tape/DVD, selling the directors on why you should be picked to compete against the best. Under 5 minutes, please!
