This past weekend, Smoke In Da Eye traveled a short distance to Holtsville, NY to compete in the Fourth annual Battle of the BBQ Brethren.  One of our favorite contests in the past, this year proved to be no different as we went head-to-head against 37 great teams.

In the end, we were unable to win back our grand champion title from 2008 but did repeat last year's third place victory after tying for reserve grand champion and losing the tie breaker to our good friends Chubby Hubby.  Out of the Ashes continued their recent winning streak and several of friends such as Big Barry and Swamp Pit got much deserved walks.

We hope to have some edited video soon but in the interim, here's a shot of our award winning brisket...
