Spike TV Joins the Competition BBQ Mix
According to a recent piece in Hollywood Reporter , Spike TV has joined the growing number of networks ready to join the competition barbecue game with a sitcom set on the contest circuit.
As Hollywood Reporter describes it, this yet-to-be-named comedy will feature "a 'Clark Griswold'-type [who] cashes in his 401k and drags his family kicking and screaming to pursue his dream of competing on the professional barbecue circuit."
The show will is being penned by a former "Married with Children" writer, Russell Marcus, and will feature the Smoke In Da Eye pitmaster in episode 3 as the eldest daughter's romantic interest. Stay tuned.
